Malvern Wells Yoga

Smile, it's yoga! Yoga classes in the Malvern area.

I am a fully qualified yoga teacher offering classes in and around the Malvern area.  I’m a Yoga Alliance registered teacher and trained with Vidya Jacqueline Heisel of Frog Lotus Yoga.

My style of yoga is a gentle Vinyasa Flow to develop strength and flexibility in the body.  My classes are deeply relaxing and contain a variety of poses making classes accessible to everyone.

The word vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” This style of yoga focuses on linking the breath with movement and is often referred to as a moving meditation. The poses flow from one to another in conjunction with the breath.

My yoga experience started about 12 years ago.  I was in my early twenties and quite overweight.  I know it sounds ridiculous, but yoga did save my life.  I loved it from my very first Ashtanga class with Anton Simmha at Ledbury Rugby Club.  I have known for a long time that I want to share the benefits of yoga with the world.  Yoga has changed my life and it can change yours too!

I want to promote that yoga is not just for hippies.  You don’t have to burn incense and wear tie-dyed clothing to come to yoga.  I still work a full-time job as well as teaching yoga.  I know what it’s like to climb the corporate ladder.  I know what it’s like to sit behind a desk all day.  I am not some airy-fairy type!  Yoga is for everyone.  I’m a young, dynamic teacher who lives in the real world.  Come and give my classes a try, you might be surprised.

  1. Hi Katherine

Clever name, very similar to mine so I bet you will get lots of hits! Good luck with the new venture

  2. Hello!

Are you planning on holding yoga classes any other evenings each week apart from Wednesdays? I’m desperate to start yoga again (I used to do hot bikram) but can’t do Wednesdays!

    • Hi Lizzie
I am planning on finding a venue to hold a class on a Monday evening. Watch this space! If you would like, I can put you on my email list? Every week I send out a list of classes for that week, along with some helpful tip or other about an aspect of yoga.

  3. Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. That would be great if you could add me to your email list, thank you!

Have you considered the new Malvern Vale Community Centre for holding classes? It is on the new Persimmon estate (where I live) and I know that there are lots of people who live on the estate that would like a yoga class there (there is a Facebook page for Malvern vale community if you wanted to enquire about how much interest there would be).

    • Hi Lizzie
Thanks so much for the tip! I’ve called them, but no answer so I sent an email. I’ll call again tomorrow to see if I can raise anyone. Keep your fingers crossed!

  4. Please advise on your current class times

Good article in the Malvern Gazette!

    • Hi Andrew. I’ve updated my Classes page – current venues and teaching times have not changed, but I’ve added a link to the men-only class I teach at The Clover Mill on Mondays.
